We are seeking a detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our team. As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and supporting management for decision-making purposes. You will analyse financial data, prepare reports, and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

This role will be predominantly office based with 1 day working from home.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Prepare financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, for management review.
•Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.
•Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
•Analyse financial data and metrics to support strategic decision-making by management.
•Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial information and ensure the accuracy and completeness of reports.
•Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
•Participate in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls.
•Provide financial support for special projects.
•Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in management accounting.
•Communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders clearly and understandably.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

•Proven experience as a management accountant or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
•AAT, ACCA, CIMA qualified (preferable).
•Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including cost accounting and financial analysis.
•Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis using Excel or other relevant software.
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organisation.
•Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
•Experience with Sage.
•Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
•Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
Our Employment Conditions Package
•Salary: £35k - £42k DOE
