Medline continues to expand its business through strategic acquisitions, supplementing an already extensive reach across Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). For this reason, the marketing and communications team is looking for a copywriter/content creator to support cross-regional communications activities, including internal communication and environmental, social and governance (ESG)-related copywriting, and provide further support for broader communications tasks and projects.

How can you help us?

General communications:

Work with the Senior Corporate Communications Specialist to ensure higher quality communications and seek out ways to improve communications company wide, including content for the EGS department. Support with managing shared inbox for editing and related requests. Collaborate with the Senior Web Development & E-Commerce Specialist and product management on product descriptions (including writing, editing and updating). Support with editing and standardising human resources-related corporate-level content (including, but not limited to, new joiner announcements, campaigns and job descriptions). Support with standardising content for Medline’s SharePoint (standardising, editing and/or writing)Manage content for select internal newsletters (including strategy, editing and/or writing).

Be independent; a reliable stand-in for the Senior Corporate Communications Specialist.

Work on ESG-related communications.

Support in the definition of ESG-related narratives across the countries, including reports, local and pan-European campaigns:

Contribute to and help articulate ESG-related strategies by creating an internal and external communications plan and storyboard for various target groups with the ESG organisation. Keep Medline and the public up-to-date on all relevant ESG updates, e.g. press releases, internal newsletter articles and social media posts. Edit and write marketing materials, e.g. brochures, training materials, web content and product descriptions, and collaborate on marketing campaigns for newly acquired companies or product ranges with various stakeholders throughout the company. Collaborate with other colleagues across the organisation who are also specialised in the ESG space, to ensure a smooth handover and completion of tasks.

Understand, apply and enforce all marketing and communications-related policies.

Support the communications team with other projects and tasks, such as general writing and editing, marketing campaigns and content review/standardisation.

Are you our match?

Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related field 3 – 5 years of professional-level experience in B2B content management and copywriting required Experience with ESG is a huge plus Near native and/or professional-level English skills (C2); fluency in other European languages is advantageous Highly developed written and verbal communication skills Demonstrable experience with editing/proofreading text, especially text by non-native English speakers; eagle-eyed Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programmes (i.e., Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Word) Thorough knowledge of different communications styles and channels Comfortable liaising with senior management Superior organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise your work Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to understand your own work in the larger organisational context Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, changing, highly demanding environment Proactive, flexible and able to work in teams Solution-oriented, open-minded and passionate about learning/trying new things Based in the Netherlands (2 days/week working from our office in Arnhem is mandatory).
