Your impactful role at SNV: Compensation & Benefits Specialist Within this dynamic team, you will play an essential role as our Compensation & Benefits Specialist. You will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of fair and competitive compensation and benefits frameworks. These frameworks will attract and retain the best talent while recognizing local markets and practices. This ensures our global team is empowered to achieve incredible things.

You will be part of our passionate Global Reward & Mobility Team, responsible for the Global framework on Reward & Mobility, and you will report to the Global Reward & Mobility Manager. Data analysis will be your superpower, allowing you to continuously improve our frameworks and ensure they remain competitive while reflecting the unique needs of our diverse workforce.

In addition, you will directly support country HR teams with their reward structures, providing expert guidance on any C&B questions and issues that arise. You will analyze data and deliver analyses to support the development/enhancement of global compensation & benefits policies, processes, tools, and projects.

You collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including Country HR, Finance, external compensation survey providers, INGO reward networks, and regulatory bodies. This collaboration will enable you to gather market data, benchmark compensation practices, and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

In this role, your key responsibilities are:

Global Compensation & Benefits: Support the rollout and implementation of global Compensation & Benefits policies, processes, and tools in our countries. Total Reward Strategy: Play a vital role in the development and roll-out of the Global Total Reward Strategy, taking a key coordination position in the operationalization of the strategy on a global scale. Remuneration Benchmarking: Facilitate the global remuneration benchmarking process by liaising with external data providers, participating in salary surveys, analysing the data and working closely with the countries to align their salary and benefits frameworks. Gather Market Intelligence: Gather and compile market data on compensation and benefits practices for all positions and countries, utilizing market data and salary survey information from national, regional, and local sources. Support Data-Driven Decisions: Co-develop HR data metrics and reporting and provide analytical support to empower data-driven decision-making within the People team. Job House Development: Further develop and maintain the job house database by preparing job descriptions, job analyses, job evaluations, and job classifications. Trusted Compensation & Benefits Resource: Act as the first point of contact for country HR, managers, Country Directors and other stakeholders on compensation & benefits questions.

Qualifications

Your profile :

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. 5-7 years of progressive experience in HR or Finance, with a focus on global compensation practices and the design, implementation, and management of compensation and benefits frameworks. Experience in the development sector (e.g., NGOs, INGOs) is a plus. Proven ability to analyse and interpret data, translating insights into actionable strategies; advanced proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems. Strong knowledge of job evaluation and analysis methodologies, with experience in developing and maintaining HR policies and procedures. Expertise in HR metrics, reporting, and best practices for data-driven decision-making. Ability to manage and implement global C&B projects, including developing frameworks across multiple regions aiming at attracting and retaining top talent. Collaborative mindset with effective communication skills, thriving in diverse, international, and remote teams. Excellent interpersonal skills and high cultural sensitivity to be able to adapt to changing global trends and organizational needs and tailor C&B strategies to diverse country contexts. Fluency in English, with French proficiency as an added advantage.
