What we hope you’ll bring to our team 

We’re looking for a junior HR application consultant specializing in Absence Management & Employee Wellness. You’ll be part of our Platform Delivery team, working with a team of HR implementation specialists on various projects and assignments for our clients. 

Alongside our focus on talent processes like Learning, Recruitment, and Payroll, we’re currently investing heavily in expertise around absence management and employee wellness. Specifically for this, we’re seeking a new colleague with the ambition to specialize in this area. As an Application Consultant for Absence & Employee Wellness, you’ll help clients make the right choices for their absence management and wellness processes, and you’ll assist in setting up their systems for optimal performance. You’ll specialize in the XpertSuite software from our partner Otherside at Work, focusing on both management and implementation. You’ll work closely with project managers and other consultants to advise, support, and train clients so they can automate and optimize their HR absence management systems. 

For the first 6 months, most of your training will take place on-the-job with one of our software partners in Den Bosch (about 2-3 days per week). Our main office is in Amsterdam, where you’ll also be working regularly. 

We’re looking for someone proactive, ready to learn, and unafraid to share their opinions with clients. 


Qualifications

Your first months and a typical day 

As an HR application consultant, you’ll operate at the intersection of functional management and HR business consultancy. We help our clients implement and optimize their HR software, specifically the XpertSuite from Otherside at Work. To be successful in this role, we think the following profile fits best: 

  • You’re eager to learn the ropes of functional management and have a strong interest in technology and software. You aim to grow into a business consultant or project manager role over time. 

  • You’re at the start of your career and are open to a new challenge in HRIT. 

  • You might have already worked with HR tools (like Afas, Visma Raet, Nmbrs, etc.). If you’ve got experience with absence management applications, that’s a big plus. 

  • You’re confident in advising clients on optimizing workflows, processes, and systems. 

  • Dutch is your native language (required), and you have a good command of English. 

  • You have strong communication skills and aren’t afraid to speak in front of groups. 

  • You’re independent, confident, flexible, and know how to engage others. 

We are a highly flexible, culture-driven company. Much of your work can be done remotely if that suits you. Still, we also find it important for you to come to the office regularly to meet others and join in on the many group activities we organize. And, as a consultant, you’ll need the flexibility to visit clients across the Netherlands.
