We are looking for a DevOps engineer who excels at creating an exceptional user experience to join our Transaction Management tribe at SWIFT responsible for orchestrating the financial transactions of our customers.
 
Based in Belgium, you will be working as a member of an agile dynamic team that is responsible for end-to-end delivery - from customer engagement to operations.
You will have a unique opportunity to expand your reach in term of knowledge and network, and to build your expertise through SWIFT's global platform.

Responsabilities



With your strong technical background will have as mission to design, analyse, implement and run tests for all DevOps aspects related to the container implementation, leveraging the container orchestration management to enable smooth deployment and operations of the cloud solution. You will be responsible to define the procedures and pipelines to streamline the delivery of the software into the production environment. A range of proven technologies (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) with lots of room for experimentation (for example container orchestration, CI/CD tooling, distributed architectures such as Kafka) to bring true value to our customers. You will be involved into managing the deployment into multi-site private cloud solutions as well as public clouds, following the SWIFT Reference Architecture principles. You will define, build and integrate with monitoring dashboards for logs and metrics. You will work in a truly international environment with main hubs across 3 continents.

Qualifications


Professional skills

Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines. 6 to 8+ years of experience with 3 of them in similar role and demonstrable track record. Autonomous, empowered with the ability to drive, adapt and respond to change. Customer oriented and quality mindset – we continually strive to deliver true customer value. Open-minded, solutions oriented, and a team player – gaining energy through collaboration with others. Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Technical skills

Expert-level in container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) Expert-level of software development tools and CI/CD pipelines (GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible) Expert-level in designing and implementing software solutions with high scalability, performance and resilience (i.e. distributed) Practical experience of large-scale distributed application frameworks (Kafka, Zookeeper) Practical experience of SSL/TLS, HTTP/S, XML (schema, XSLT) Practical experience of IP network and security fundamentals Practical experience of databases (Elastic Search, Oracle, JDBC, H2) and data modelling Practical experience with monitoring tools (logstash, filebeat, metricbeat, fluentd, kibana) Practical experience of Linux OS (RedHat Enterprise Linux)
