ING wants to set up a bank-wide COO organisation that's ready for the future, with scalable, seamless, digital, and resilient operations. To help us achieve this, COO identified three main ways to make the most impact:

Building a network organisation: more networking and cross-border collaboration. Consolidating the organisation: share capabilities and services in locations where we can best embed these. Digitalisation/straight-through processing: making our processes end-to-end to provide a seamlessly digital experience for our customers.

Global COO Finance is an independent unit within ING’s COO domain, reporting hierarchically into ING’s Chief Financial Officer and functionally into ING’s Chief Operations Officer.

Global COO Finance (COOF) is accountable for designing the global finance operations and technology strategy (together with ING’s TECH organisation) and optimising productivity and customer satisfaction in Operations to improve operational efficiency. It is accountable for executing ING Finance and COO strategy to evolve towards one global digital bank, is responsible for performance of Operations, the operating model, decisions on sourcing and all relevant regulatory and Risk topics.

The purpose of COOF:

Responsibilities as a Accounting & Reporting Expert in the team:

Analyse and comment on changing accounting/regulatory requirements Participate in projects by clarifying data definitions and proposing solutions Use analytics tools to support the reporting processes Guarantee compliance with control frameworks Keep the overview over end-to-end Finance processes

Current topics to work on include BCBS 239, FinRep, Corep, AnaCredit, liquidity reporting and many other forms of statutory and regulatory reporting.

Furthermore, you have:

Current residency in the Netherlands and fluent in the Dutch and English language (C2) Prior work experience in a banking environment Experience with either statutory or regulatory reporting Familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS) Aware of the importance of data for a bank and ready to make the link between regulation and technology
