What are you going to do
? Conduct research within (or related to) the research areas as outlined; Disseminate your research findings through publication in academic journals and participation in academic conferences; Participate in the Faculty of Science PhD training programme; Assist in teaching undergraduates and Master students; Participate in relevant seminars and engage with research collaborations locally and/or internationally; Complete and defend a PhD thesis within the official appointment duration of four years.What do you have to offer?
Master degree in Mathematics or related field; Affinity with any of the involved research fields mentioned in the project description; Highly motivated; Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Experience in teaching is a plus.Our offer
A temporary contract for 38 hours per week for the duration of 4 years (the initial contract will be for a period of 18 months and after satisfactory evaluation it will be extended for a total duration of 4 years). The preferred starting date is September 1, . This should lead to a dissertation (PhD thesis). We will draft an educational plan that includes attendance of courses and (international) meetings. We also expect you to assist in teaching undergraduates and master students.
The salary, will be € 2, in the first year and increase to € 3, in the last year (scale P) gross per month, based on a fulltime contract (38 hours a week). This is exclusive 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end-of-year bonus. A favourable tax agreement, the ‘30% ruling’, may apply to non-Dutch applicants. The Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities is applicable.
