As a Scala Developer you will work on building the next generation advertisement technology for the recruitment and staffing industry.

Aimwel’s systems aim to fully automate the distribution of our clients’ jobs to various advertisement platforms. Our goal: delivering our clients’ jobs to the right candidates for an optimal price. We are doing this globally for our international client base.

As part of our backend team you will work on various aspects of the advertisement flow, including:

Building integrations with third-party advertisement platforms. Each integration is set up as a standalone microservice, keeping our systems robust and scalable.

Setting up internal and client-facing APIs to manage ad creation

Tracking and measuring the performance of the various ads

This is all done in a modern distributed microservices system architecture.

Our stack: Scala, ZIO, Axon, Kafka, gRPC, AWS and Kubernetes


What you will be doing 

Being at the top requires forward-thinking. We are looking for Scala developers to help build and create the innovation required to remain at the top of the recruitment marketplaces.

Be a valued member of an autonomous, agile team;

Apply knowledge of software engineering, as well as coding best practices that minimise tech debt;

Build and maintain client-facing and internal APIS (REST, gRPC, or Kafka driven);

Be proactive in learning and preparation;

Architect, design, develop, deploy and operate services that serve millions of users in a DevOps manner;

Who you are

For this role, we are looking for someone who understands business needs and can turn problems into software solutions. Also, you should be interested in industry developments and good at keeping your knowledge relevant and recent.

Bachelor's degree or greater in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Several years of experience in OOP/FP (Java/Scala) to demonstrate a level of maturity;

Fluent in English

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Like working in a team

Experience with Event Sourcing or CQRS is a plus.

Comfortable working with AWS or other cloud environments.
