Principal Technician

Job Description
As a Principal Technician (Interoperability), you will:

• Support the manual and automated testing of the Interoperability Toolset during the software development lifecycle.
  
• Conduct a mix of manual testing and develop automated test scripts to support regression testing.
  
• Work as part of the solutions development team, collaborating closely with developers, testers, and product owners.
  
• Test implemented product functionality and perform regression testing.
  
• Report on any findings from testing.
  
• Write and maintain automated testing frameworks and tests.
  
• Act as a liaison between Product Owners and the development team.
  
• Support the implementation and maintenance of pipelines in Azure DevOps.
  

What You Bring to the Table:

• A minimum of 3 years of overall quality assurance experience.
  
• At least 3 years of experience testing web-based applications.
  
• A minimum of 2 years of experience testing REST API endpoints.
  
• At least 1 year of experience writing automated tests for web-based systems and APIs.
  
• A minimum of 1 year of experience with Azure DevOps.
  
• Experience working in multi-person software development teams.
  
• Meticulous and detail-oriented approach.
  
• Strong team player skills.
  
• Ability to read and understand Java or C# code and familiarity with basic OOP concepts.
  
• Basic experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and using SQL.
  
• Experience using automated testing frameworks (e.g., XUnit, Specflow, BDD).
  
• Experience with performance testing using JMeter.
  
• Experience testing GraphQL-based endpoints.
  
• Familiarity with test management solutions such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Zephyr, or other systems.

• Test and verify implemented product functionality.
  
• Perform thorough regression testing.
  
• Report findings clearly and effectively.
  
• Write and maintain a robust automated testing framework.
  
• Facilitate communication between Product Owners and the development team.
