For Nippon Express (Netherlands) B.V., we are looking at short notice for:
Warehouse team leaderAs a Warehouse team leader, you are responsible for the proper daily handling of incoming and outgoing goods. Additionally, you lead a team of (flex)employees and coordinate the activities related to daily operations. Given that you work under time pressure, it's important that you are resilient. At the same time, you are positively critical and open to improvement. You set an example for the organization and are willing to take an active role in the operational activities yourself. Problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and a flexible mindset are the core competencies we are looking for in our new colleague.
What will you do?
- Distribute work assignments and oversee the process of inbound, storage, picking, outbound and loading of products;
- Supervise (flex) employees. You will instruct, evaluate, coach, and motivate them to promote personal development and performance;
- Check the quality of completed work to ensure it meets company standards;
- Ensure compliance with procedures, safety rules, codes of conduct, and other company guidelines within the warehouse;
- Serve as a role model in terms of compliance, safety, hygiene, and quality;
- Timely identify and report irregularities;
- Identify and initiate improvement proposals regarding work processes and methods;
- Collaborate with other supervisors/departments within the organization to manage the daily flow of goods correctly;
- Ensure a safe working environment and promote a company culture that fosters productivity, efficiency, and high morale;
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Vocational (MBO) level of education and thinking.
- At least 3 years of work experience as a warehouse employee.
- Possession of a forklift and reach truck certificate.
- Good communication skills in English (and/or Dutch), in both spoken and written form.
