Civil Supervisor

We provide expertise in the field of Engineering,Project Management, Maintenance, Shutdowns, Construction andSafety.

• Maintain coördination with otherdiscipline supervisors/superintendent working in the area tocoördinate all the activities and manage relatedinterferences.
• Organize theirown activities in close collaboration with the line ConstructionManager/Civil superintendent, keeping track of the activitiescarried out through work files, guaranteeing continuity even in theevent of absence through sharing of information andteamwork.
• Make sure thatmaterials used in construction are in accordance with projecttechnical documents and applicable codes and specifications andstocks are sufficient to keep up with work'sschedule.
• Check the efficientproductivity of Subcontractors activities with regards to thequality and quantity (jointly with ProjectControl).
• Make sure that allthe assigned activities are carried out on time, otherwise checkdeficiency and refer to Construction Manager to promptly define andimplement corrective actions that allow compliance with theschedule.
• Verify and discusswith Construction Manager/Civil superintendent and Field ProjectEngineer modification or any difference raised on the activityrelevant to previous and following points and cooperate with themto issue Sketches Layout (SKL) for the relevant modification, whenworks must be executed in different way as indicated ondrawings.
• Propose anyimprovement solution that arises during the execution of the worksand support the Field Project Engineer in answering toSubcontractor’s site queries.
•Record any modification after approval and, in cooperation withConstruction Manager/Civil superintendent, inform SubcontractAdministrator for contractual changing.
• Prepare and fill the Request of Work Execution(R.W.E.) form for any extra work not included in the contract orfor field modification, for further approval by other functions,before the execution of the work itself, as per procedure bySubcontracting Department.
•Check that Subcontractor is working on the base of last edition ofall drawings and other technical documents (jointly withConstruction QC Inspector - Civil).
• Check by the "Manpower presence report" thequantity of Subcontractor's manpower present on site (jointly withSubcontracting Management).
•Check, sign and collect all Subcontractor Time Sheets when the workis reimbursed on hourly basis.
• Prepare/check Subcontractor's monthly/weeklyprogress of work and transmit relevant data to ProjectControl.
• Fill the daily logrecord book.
• Ensure inadvance that no hold can occur for Subcontractors work due to lackof needed engineering documents and materials or work areaaccessibility to avoid Subcontractor claims (jointly with ProjectControl and Field Engineer).
•Prepare and issue to Subcontractor the Construction and Final PunchLists and follow up the completion of relevant outstandingworks.
• Check Subcontractorfield surveying, establish with Subcontractor reference benchmarksfor elevation and alignment needed as per scope of works and checktheir correct execution.
• Makesure that Subcontractors follow the provisions of the approved ITPand the inspections are called timely and in according to theprocedure established for the project.
• Always ensure collaboration and support to QCInspector colleagues during the execution of the relatedinspections.
• Identifypossible non-Conformities according to the Quality Assurance SystemProcedure and suggest the related CorrectiveAction.

• Have solid background of civil andstructural disciplines.
• Havea minimum of 5 years of experience in management of constructionsite.
• VOL/VCAdiploma.
