In the Gulf region, Skretting’s main activities are sales of fish and shrimp feed (Skretting brand) as well as premixes, feed additives, concentrates and specialty diets for animals (under the Trouw Nutrition brand). Next to exports from Europe, a rapidly increasing portion of the products is being produced locally.
In support of our activities in the Gulf region, we are looking to strengthen our team with a seasoned Technical Sales Manager.
Skretting prides itself on providing a high level of service to its customers, farms and consumers. You will be part of a team of highly motivated and close-knit professionals driving the aquaculture industry forward. You will become a valuable asset to our local and international teams.
What are we looking for?
You will be largely independent. You will have clearly defined tasks that will allow you to define for yourself how best to achieve your goals. Your tasks will be divided into both technical and commercial objectives. It will therefore be important for you to find the right balance between commercial objectives and technical input. A source of both commercial success and personal fulfillment is your close relationship with your customers.
Main responsibilities:
• Develop and support the sales of the aqua product portfolio
(Feed, Feed Additives and Services);
• Maximize the technical support to distributors and end-customers (seminars, farm visits).
Main tasks:
• Gain insight about customer requirements, competitor and market trends and developments;
• Support developing new business opportunities with existing and new merchants;
• Support developing yearly area plans with budget;
• Create and follow up orders;
• Organize technical, marketing, administrative support and sales support.
Qualifications:
• University degree (BS, MSc) in aquaculture preferred;
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Gulf region with proven sales records;
• Existing network in the Gulf region/Saudi Arabia/ fish sector;
• Practical experience in hatcheries and/or shrimp and marine fish farming;
• Fluent in English and Arabic;
• Team worker.
The position is preferably based in Saudi Arabia and requires traveling in the region and overseas for training purposes.
