ING is looking for enthusiastic Bachelor (HBO) students, preferably in the field of Economics, Econometrics, Business Administration, Finance or Law for a 6 months internship from March and from September 1st 2024. The start date is flexible.
 
You will be part of the Network Sector Coverage (NSC) team within the ING Corporate Clients Wholesale Banking in Amsterdam. ING is a leading global financial institution with a strong European base offering a wide array of banking services. In the Netherlands we are the country’s leading wholesale bank. The NSC team operates as the first point of contact for the largest multinational clients of ING which have subsidiaries in the Netherlands. The Network bankers are responsible for the relationship management with these clients in co-ordination with the Parent Account Manager who manages the relationship on group level. The team also co-ordinates between the various products, so that the clients needs are met. Customer experience is what differentiate us and ING is continuously innovating to improve it.
You will have daily contact with various stakeholders within ING and you will contribute to achieving the team's objectives. You are going to liaise the subject of your research with the team and a maximum of 25% of your total internship duration is made available for this research. The subject of your research can vary from a product or process to, for example, ING services, but we are happy to think along with you for possible alternative subjects if you do not already have one in mind. The other 75% of your time you will work together with our team to gain knowledge and experience in the banking world. 
 
What are you going to do?  
Most of the time you will work together in a Relationship Management team to broaden your knowledge and experience in banking products and processes. Your activities are wide and varied, your responsibilities include: 

You support Know-Your-Customer (KYC) processes in close collaboration with Relationship Managers and the KYC team Your support for new clients onboardings, obtaining relevant gatekeepers approvals and ensuring proper client data capture in relevant internal client systems You support the Relationship Managers in their daily commercial activities You assess the relationship from a commercial perspective: performing commercial assessment; collecting and analyzing information about customers and markets in which customers are active You maintain contact with both internal and external stakeholders and correctly implement the agreements made You manage, monitor and promote the quality of the commercial and operational services You take care of the administrative handling of processes and you are intensively involved in updating ING systems 

 
Your working environment 
The NSC department is in Amsterdam-Zuidoost and is part of ING Corporate Sector Coverage Clients, which in turn is a part of the ING Wholesale Banking division. As an Intern of the NSC team you work in a challenging and dynamic environment and you are part of a professional, experienced and enthusiastic team with an open atmosphere. ING is op zoek naar een enthousiaste 3e jaars hbo-student, bij voorkeur op het gebied van Economie, Econometrie, Bedrijfskunde of Rechten voor een stage vanaf 1 september 2024. De startdatum is echter flexibel.
 
Je zal deel uitmaken van het team International Business Clients Desk binnen de divisie ING Wholesale Banking in Amsterdam. Dit team functioneert als eerste aanspreekpunt voor beursgenoteerde bedrijven en/of bedrijven met een omzet vanaf EUR 250 miljoen en met een bredere product behoefte. De top van de zakelijke klanten 
Je hebt dagelijks contact met verschillende stakeholders binnen ING en zult meewerken aan het behalen van de doelstellingen van het team. Het onderwerp van je onderzoek stem je af met het team en voor dit onderzoek wordt maximaal 25% van je totale stageduur beschikbaar gesteld. Dit onderwerp van je onderzoek kan variëren van . een product, proces tot bijv. ING dienstverlening maar we denken graag met je mee voor eventuele alternatieve onderwerpen als je die nog niet hebt. De overige 75% van je tijd zal je meedraaien in ons team om ervaring en kennis op te doen in de bancaire wereld.
 
Wat ga je doen? 
Het grootste deel van de tijd zal je meewerken om je kennis en ervaring in de bancaire producten en processen te verbreden. Je werkzaamheden zijn breed en afwisselend, tot je taken horen onder meer:

Je ondersteunt Know-Your-Customer (KYC) processen in nauwe samenwerking met Relatiemanagers, Associates en het KYC team; Je ondersteunt de Relatiemanager en de Associates in hun dagelijkse commerciële activiteiten; Je beoordeelt de relatie vanuit commercieel perspectief: het uitvoeren van commercial assessment; het verzamelen en analyseren van informatie over klanten en markten waarop klanten actief zijn; Je onderhoudt contact met zowel interne en externe stakeholders en voert op correcte wijze de gemaakte afspraken uit; Je beheert, bewaakt en bevordert mede de kwaliteit van de commercieel en operationele dienstverlening; Je zorgt voor de administratieve afhandeling van trajecten en bent intensief betrokken bij het up-to-date brengen van systemen.

De afdeling IBCD is gevestigd in Amsterdam-Zuidoost en is onderdeel van Corporate Clients wat deel uitmaakt van de divisie ING Wholesale Banking. Belangrijk om te weten: Om stage te kunnen lopen bij ING, moet je gedurende je gehele stageperiode ingeschreven staan bij een Nederlandse onderwijsinstelling.
