We have an exciting opportunity to join our Measurement Solutions Quality team. For our Ede location we are looking for a Non-Destructive Testing Technician.

Your key responsibilities are to perform all non-destructive testing (NDT) of all flow meter process connections to ensure compliance with procedures, international Standards and agreements on quality; and performing all crucial NDT administrative duties accurately.

In this role, your responsibilities will be: 
- Performing and evaluating Non-Destructive tests, like Radiographic examination, Liquid Penetrant examination and Positive Material Identification (PMI) examination to make sure all welds meet the Emerson and Standards quality specifications.
- Evaluating and analyzing NDT results.
- Reporting of any non-conformance issues
- Ensuring Progressive Sampling Rate process is applied according to the procedure.
- Ensuring all required NDT documentation, NDT quality data and quality records are administered correctly, accurately and ensure traceability is maintained.
- Verifying validity of welding procedures and documentation to ensure all NDT inspected sensors are manufactured with valid welding documentation (WPS), welding processes (PQR) and welder qualifications/ prolongations (WPQ) are always valid.
- Writing all relevant NDT reports
- Collaborating with customer or Third Parties on NDT activities.
- Assisting Operations by providing visibility of welder’s performance continuously.
- Supporting in the development of the welders and identifies opportunities for improvement to increase the welder’s knowledge and capabilities.
- Participating in the Material Review Board and define the final disposition of welding related non conformances and Temporary Deviation Approvals;
- Performing internal process audits at for various Standards, provide insight into overall NDT improvement areas on a regular basis.
- Ensuring NDT equipment maintenance and calibration is performed accurately and in a timely manner.

For this role you will need:
- Professional-level fluency in either Dutch and English language, and reasonable proficiency in the other
- Sound knowledge of quality systems, standards, certifications
- Good understanding of continuous improvement methodologies, like lean and CIP
- Demonstrated ability in quality control/welding inspection activities
- Expertise in relevant Quality tools (Ishikawa, Design of Experiment,
- to be able to pass a J1 eye exam and Ishihara vision test with or without corrected vision
- understanding and interpreting engineering drawings and welding procedure specifications (WPS)
- to have good digital literacy, including navigating within a Windows operating environment and use of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel, are essential
- This position requires extended periods of time in a production environment and may require standing for longer portions of the day
- Lifting goods up to a maximum of 25kg

Preferred qualifications which will set you apart: 
- At least MBO level in a relevant Engineering field or equivalent technical experience 
- Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines (ISO9712, ASME section 9, PED, ISO3834, ISO14731, ISO9606 and ISO15614)
- Preferably Radiographic testing Level II and Film reading level II certified (otherwise training will be provided)

Additional information: 
- this is an on-site position at our location (remote/home/hybrid working is not possible)
- full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday), is strongly preferred
- relocation is not provided; you need to be living in the Netherlands with a valid residence permit that allows you to work without restriction
