To ensure that TNO can consistently deliver successful projects. You'll contribute to tangible improvements in project management, benefiting both project managers and the entire organization. What will be your role?
At TNO, almost all research is conducted through projects. To successfully execute these projects now and in the future, continuous focus on strengthening and developing project management within TNO is essential. The Operational Excellence & Auditing department has established a 'Project Excellence cell' and runs the strategic Project Excellence program.
As a Project Excellence Manager, you will be a sparring partner for everyone involved in projects, from project managers to the executive board. You play a crucial role in TNO's Project Fitness process. You challenge project managers, support them, and ensure that line management is actively involved in projects.
Based on Project Fitness, project evaluations, audits, and input from the Project Management community, you identify structural problems and collaborate with colleagues across the organization on tangible improvements. One of your tasks is to enhance risk management within projects. You organize risk management training sessions and workshops so that everyone within TNO can better handle risks in projects.
Additionally, you support, coach, and guide project managers. You help units develop their pool of project managers and work with HR and the PM Guild on development programs.

As we said: Preach what you practice. As a Project Excellence Manager, you will leverage your experience as a project manager across the full breadth of this role. You will use your expertise and coaching skills to achieve the desired changes. Your TNO colleagues are your primary clients, how special is that?
