Hotel Okura Amsterdam is looking for a Canteen Chef de Partie for the Main Kitchen. The Main Kitchen is responsible for the preparation of composed dishes from fresh ingredients and products for several departments, such as the breakfast restaurant, Roomservice, the Lobby Bar and Banquet Operations. The Banquet Operations department of Hotel Okura Amsterdam is the biggest Banquet Operations department among five star hotels in the Netherlands and is market leader in banquet revenue and quality. Working in the Main Kitchen therefore means working on a very high level. The Main Kitchen consists of eighteen employees, of which one Executive Chef.

As Canteen Chef de Parti you are responsible for preparing a wide variety of dishes, carrying out mise and place activities, keeping the kitchen clean, ensuring optimal functioning of the assigned party and developing new items for the menu.

Tasks and Resposibilities:

Preparation of (part of) meals according to recipe and planning Carry out mise en place activities (such as; washing, cutting of ingredients et cetera Preparing and placing dishes for banqueting, ensuring continuity and sufficient supply of the buffet Keeping your working environment, equipments and materials clean Responsible for optimum functioning of the assigned partie Responsible for the development of new items

What we offer:

Contract: 1 year, with the possibility of extending. We want you to stay Salary: Group 5. Click for the salary scale  Bonus: 1 week salary when the hotel reaches the budgeted GOP (Gross Operating Profit) level and you get a minimum total score of successful in your yearend evaluation 8% holiday allowance (pro rata); 25 vacation days per year (pro rata). Compensation for National Holidays. Horeca CAO applies; General Pension Scheme of Hospitality and Catering; General Survivors pension; Attractive family and friends rates on overnight stays at Hotel Okura Amsterdam; Once a year staff discount in one of the restaurants (50%); Staff discount in our restaurants (20%); Contribution to travel expenses from 10 km (one way); Study budget of €1.000; After obtaining the probationary period, you will receive an overnight stay with breakfast as a gift (2 people), so that you can experience the hotel as a guest
