As our product grows and evolves, we continuously decide which features end up in the core platform itself, and which features end up as extensions (modules, IDE extensions, services, widgets).To ensure sustainable growth, it is essential to have a core that is lean and highly extensible. This strategy enables us to serve an ever-growing range of platforms, channels, and use cases with our product. In this role, you will join a team that focuses on delivering high-quality, high-value capabilities and solutions on top of the core platform. You will carefully determine if and how existing platform functionality can be transformed or extended into extensions, to keep the core lean. You will build these extensions along with the rest of the team, to deliver essential functionality to our users. The existing team consists mostly of Mendix engineers; experts in building applications and modules using the Mendix platform. You will operate in a team that knows the customer intimately, because they were the customer. Your skills in more traditional programming languages (Javascript/Typescript, Java, C#) will complete the team’s skill-set

You're the innovator we need if:

You are proficient in Typescript and React.js; You have experience with C# and/or Java; You have experience in Agile software development: you are able to adapt to change and are open-minded; you are comfortable working as part of an agile team; you want to become part of a work environment in which your ideas are valued; You are willing to make technical trade-offs that help attain the team’s goals; You enjoy the occasional game of table tennis, football, or an(online) pub quiz; You have a minimum of 3-year professional experience as an engineer; You have a BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

You have experience with Kubernetes and Docker You have experience with CI/CD (Gitlab CI) You have experience with test frameworks like Playwright You have experience with Puppeteer Working for Mendix and with our Customers means your reliability has to be beyond any doubt, and therefore every employment is subject to an onboarding screening and the condition precedent a Certificate of Conduct is provided that demonstrates you did not commit any offences that are relevant to the performance of your function.
