Your new role 

We are seeking a Junior Data Analyst interested in analytics engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, an in-depth understanding of data analysis techniques and visualization, and design and maintain data models. The Junior Data Analyst will collect, process, and analyze data, create meaningful reports, and contribute to developing analytics engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analytics Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain data models using tools such as SQL and dbt and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and quality throughout the data lifecycle;
  2. Data Visualization: Create visually appealing and informative charts, graphs, and reports to communicate data-driven insights effectively;
  3. Data Analysis: Perform statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and data mining to uncover trends, patterns, and insights;
  4. Reporting: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for various departments and stakeholders.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support, including analytics engineering solutions.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on data analysis and analytics engineering best practices and contribute to enhancing our data analytics processes.

Requirements

  • MSc degree in Econometrics, Mathematics, or related field;
  • Good knowledge of SQL;
  • Familiar with visualization tools, preferably Tableau;
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills to present findings and insights.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Able to carry out ad-hoc analysis in Python and Jupyter Notebook;
  • Knowledge of version control system (git);

Qualifications (nice to have):

  • Familiar with data transformation tools such as dbt;
  • Familiar with AWS infrastructure.
