SR. ANALYST, SECURITY COE & CRISIS

DEPARTMENT

Department: Global Security & Crises Management Center of Excellence.

Mission/responsibility department: development, support, verification and assurance over Security & Crisis management standards, interface with government agencies, performance monitoring, analysis and reporting.

Number of employees in department: (8), reporting to global Sr. Manager Security & Crisis Management Center of Excellence.

Collaboration with other departments and / or third parties: main internal contacts includes affiliates EHSS personnel and leaders. Main external contacts includes government agencies, security consultants, peers at other companies in the industries.

JOB PURPOSE

Support the implementation of Global security and Crisis Management strategy, programs, standards, initiatives and provide guidance and know-how and respond to security threats to all SABIC operations within assigned geography. Act as Subject matter expert with demonstrated competency in the planning, development, program execution, maintenance and testing of Global Crisis Management standards and programs. Provide support to leadership and assigned geography/region to properly and accurately capture / articulate the business risks and design crisis response strategies that mitigate those risks. Conduct Awareness, advice, and assist business units, sites and leadership on Crisis Management Process and programs. Provide subject matter expertise during response to regional and global crisis events and coordinate engagement with global EHSS leadership Ensure timely and strong communication processes with governmental agencies to support overall security preparedness within assigned geography. Ensure the compliance with regional and local security regulations, Sabic EHSS Standards by auditing of crisis management and Security systems across SABIC entities to identify opportunities for improvement , supporting the sites to create the mitigation plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies, strategies and standards in coordination with Leader of the Security COE. Keep abreast of security industry standards, incoming security-related correspondence and monitor national and international events in order to assess their security-related trends and implications on SABIC business operations and staff within the region. Assist regional and sites leaders and SMEs in performing security risk assessments based on applicable standards and regulations to help determine appropriate levels of protection and security necessary measures for sites. Direct site security and advise site leaders in implementing Security policies, regulations, standards and systems. Support and endorse the regional security initiatives and projects. Provision of expert advice, clarifications and interpretations of relevant SHEMS, standards, policies, and programs so these are implemented consistently and effectively to deliver world class EHSS performance in Security and crisis management, with reference to industry learning, regulations, and the development of international codes, standards & guidance (e.g. regional, country and Responsible Care Security Code). Deliver SME capability for security performance improvement and investigations, providing expert consultation as needed to global, regional and site leadership. Liaise with business leaders within assigned geography/region to ensure alignment on security risks and mitigation programs Provide expert input to assurance activities at global, regional and local level as needed, including site-specific reviews and audits. Track security program effectiveness and compliance statistics in and develop actionable reports and KPI’s. Performs security audits, conducts operating reviews of critical security infrastructure and control systems to determine if manufacturing facilities have appropriately implemented all applicable SABIC security standards relative to the nature of the operations and the corresponding risk profile Maintains strong relationships with key governmental and industry partners. Advises manufacturing sites with respect to their response to governmental regulatory audits and ensures clear response/ plan for the implementation and appropriate corrective and preventative actions to address the audit findings. Support the development and implementation of Crisis Management Program, including policies, standards, procedures and plans, provide advice and support to site and regional crisis teams to assist in resolving program issues. Coordinate crisis management exercises and develop exercise scenarios for use by affiliates and regions globally. Develop and conduct Awareness program for security & crisis management for global, regions and sites leadership. Provide SME support to sites, affiliates, and functions in the area of crisis management. Serve as member of Crisis Management team on the assigned geography

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in related disciplines from a internationally accredited university Fluency in English Preference given to industry certifications such as ASIS CPP/PSP, CBCI, etc. 5 years of regional corporate security & crisis management experience in a relevant chemical industry
