Wat ga je doen?

The (U.S.E.) invites applications for a Lecturer in Finance. The Lecturer would join the of the Department. Lecturers are expected to teach courses in various Finance areas at undergraduate and/or graduate level, and to supervise theses. Affinity with sustainable finance is a plus. All teaching is in English. A part-time appointment is possible for candidates who wish to combine a teaching position at U.S.E. with a position at a different institution. The preferred starting date is August/September 2024 (negotiable) and under the condition of a valid EU working permit.

Successful candidates:

Have or are close to completing a PhD in Finance (preferred) or similar disciplines. Demonstrate a clear potential for excellence in teaching different Finance courses at both undergraduate and graduate level. Have an excellent command of spoken and written English. Are in possession of a University Teaching Qualification or willing to obtain such a qualification.

A fixed-term appointment as Lecturer for up to 4 years. a working week of 28 to 40 hours and a gross monthly salary between € 4.332,- and € 5.929,- in the case of full-time employment (salary scale 11 under the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU);  8% holiday pay and 8.3% year-end bonus;  a pension scheme, partially paid parental leave and flexible terms of employment based on the CAO NU.
