Background information
We develop and create world-class electronic common platform solutions used across ASML's business lines, ensuring commonality and streamlining development. We collaborate closely with our colleagues from DUV Electronics, EUV Electronics, Application Electronics and our external development partners, customers and global suppliers.
Your assignment
This internship vacancy comprises of 4 different assignments. The hiring team will assess all applicants and allocate the assignments based on their needs. This will be further discussed during the interview stage.
Proof of concept for an FPGA based wireless communication protocol
For this internship, you are asked to investigate new wireless light based communication . Discuss the pros and cons of different standards (e.g. Li-Fi) and, based on this, develop a proof of concept design in HDL that complies with the chosen standard.

For this internship, you are asked to investigate current available standards communication protocol (e.g. SpaceWire, IEEE 1355). Discuss the pros and cons of different standards and, based on this, develop a proof of concept design in HDL that complies with the chosen standard.
Your Profile
To be a perfect match for this internship, you:
Are a graduating Bachelor's student or Master student in Electrical/Electronical engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.
Do you have knowledge of solid digital design basics and have some communication protocol knowledge.
Are experienced with the programming languages: C(++), VHDL and/or (System)Verilog.
Are a critical thinker.
Are able to work independently and to communicate in an effective way.
This is a graduating Bachelor or Master internship with a duration of 6 months, for 4-5 days a week, starting as soon as possible.
Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of the internship.
