You're probably familiar with PostNL: the postal company inthe Netherlands that you see in your neighborhood every day PostNLprocesses fifteen million letters and packages every day, deliveredthroughout the Netherlands. Everyone in the Netherlands is acustomer of PostNL As a postal sorter, you will be involved in thelogistics process behind mail delivery.

Working hours
The workinghours for this part-time position are from Monday to Friday.
  • Morning: between 6.00 and 12.00 hrs
  • Afternoon: between 12.00 and 20.00 hrs
  • Evening: between 18.00 and 1.00 hrs
  • Night: between 00.00 and 7.00 hrs

16- and 17-year-oldsmay work between 6:00 and 23:00 and work between three to fivehours per week. It may be that you are added to the schedule at alater time based on availability. If you are applying for theevening or night shift, you must be at least eighteen yearsold.

As a postal sorter, you are responsible for themechanical sorting of national mail. This is a physical job,because you work standing up and regularly lift heavy boxes ofmail. It is also important that you can work accurately, becausethe mail must be delivered to the correct address

  • Irregularity allowance of 20%for working between 20:00 and 22:00, and 40% for working between22:00 and 6:00
