Job Title: NDT Engineer
Location: Rotterdam, The Netherlands

Our client is seeking a skilled NDT Engineer to join their team in Rotterdam, providing technical expertise across various projects. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) processes and procedures and experience in the oil and gas industry. This role will involve preparing and reviewing NDT procedures, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and supporting our project teams in achieving optimal productivity and quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise on all NDT matters for project teams.
  • Support and assist the NDT Coordinator or project teams on all NDT-related requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive NDT procedures tailored to assigned projects.
  • Review client specifications and scopes of work, analyze pipe metallurgy, and create detailed NDT procedures to meet quality standards efficiently.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractors' tender documents and technical qualifications.
  • Assist the QHSE Department with subcontractor assessments and audits.
  • Review, approve, and maintain records of subcontractors' NDT submissions to ensure compliance with client requirements.
  • Organize and maintain departmental project NDT files to ensure easy access to information for department members.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Prior experience in the oil and gas industry is required.

Technical Expertise

Candidates should have hands-on experience with the following NDT methods:

  • RT (Radiographic Testing)
  • MT (Magnetic Particle Testing)
  • PT (Liquid Penetrant Testing)
  • RTI (Radiographic Film Interpretation)
  • HT (Hardness Testing)
  • PMI (Positive Material Identification)
  • VT (Visual Testing)
  • MFR (Micro Focus Radiography)
  • FR (Fluoroscopic Radiography)
