Our Lonza site in , Netherlands, is seeking aData Scientist Manager/Scientific DataScientist//Biostatistician. In this role, you will act as data scientists supporting the development teams performingdata evaluation and DoE setup. You will alsolead the implementation of the E-Workbook (EWB) platform, set-up and configuration. Become part of this exciting opportunity and apply now

Key responsibilities:

Lead the implementation of the ELN (Electronic Lab Notebook) platform, the corresponding data templates, sample management strategy and their associated database models for new or existing workflows

Support Lab Automatization / Digitalization activities

Collaborate with laboratory and data scientists to build data management workflows, tools and constructive feedback loops that improve the data collection process

Provide training on system usage and optimizations to local business process SME’s

Key requirements:  

Some experience using Python to post or retrieve data from REST APIs and writing SQL queries against relational databases

EWB experience (electronic workbook) IDBS is a big advantage/ pre

Familiarity with database design; preferably both relational and non-relational (NoSQL)

Comfortable with on premises local databases (such as Oracle, MongoDB, MS Azure ,MySQL, SQLite MS SQL Server)

Familiarity with agile software project management practices

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to a range of stakeholders with different data needs

Curious, self-driven, analytical and excited to play with data
