Kom werken als Remote Operator bij Rotterdam World Gateway (RWG) Als Remote “Crane” Operator zorg jij er voor dat de grootste containerschepen zo efficiënt en veilig mogelijk worden gelost en geladen. Je bent als Remote Operator dus een belangrijke schakel in het laad- en losproces. Jij en je team van gedreven collega's zijn onmisbaar op de terminal. De enorme kadekranen werken bijna volledig automatisch. Alleen het eerste en laatste deel van het kraanproces bedien jij handmatig op afstand (remote). Dit doe je vanuit de Terminal Office Building op de terminal. Vanuit hier heb je ook contact met de toezichthouders aan boord en je collega's die het proces op de terminal aansturen. Kortom een uitdagende en vooral belangrijke operationele functie in een kantooromgeving.

Je werkt binnen een (zelfsturend) team van Remote Operators dat afhankelijk van de drukte op de terminal kan verschillen in grootte. Binnen dit team werk je vanuit een zelfstandige werkhouding, waarbij je onderling in goed overleg afstemt en anticipeert op te verrichten werkzaamheden. Als Remote Operator kom je te werken op één van de modernste terminals ter wereld in een collegiaal en professioneel team. Het team bestaat uit collega's uit allemaal verschillende beroepsgroepen en culturen, wij selecteren onze nieuwe collega dan ook op vaardigheden, competenties en motivatie.



Functie-eisen

Voor deze functie heb je minimaal een afgeronde opleiding op mbo niveau 3 nodig.Daarnaast is het van belang technisch en ruimtelijk inzicht te hebben, dit is namelijk onmisbaar in de functie om zo veilig en efficiënt mogelijk de kranen te bedienen. Via 6 schermen vol met informatie weet jij grip te houden op de uitvoering van het laad- en losproces. Het is daarom belangrijk dat je een hoog concentratievermogen hebt en beschikt over uitstekende hand- en oogcoördinatie. Als Remote Operator haal jij de uitdaging uit het gestructureerd en routinematig werken. Om op locatie te kunnen komen moet je in bezit zijn eigen vervoer. Als laatste ben jij fulltime en 24/7 inzetbaar, het logistieke proces op de terminal gaat dag en nacht door.



Arbeidsvoorwaarden

Je wordt via een intensief en praktijkgerichte opleiding opgeleid tot een volwaardig Remote Operator, dat wordt afgesloten met een examen. De opleiding wordt verzorgd door een RWG instructeur en de kneepjes van het vak worden je bijgebracht door een ervaren mentor. Buiten dat je goed wordt opgeleid, krijg je uitstekende arbeidsvoorwaarden,

De arbeidsvoorwaarden zijn:

  • een marktconform start basis salaris van € 3290 bruto per maand; 
  • ploegentoeslag 12%;
  • vakantiegeld (dit is inclusief de ploegentoeslag en pensioen);
  • reiskosten vergoeding;
  • variabele prestatiebonus;
  • een winstuitkering.

Er zijn voldoende mogelijkheden om te groeien in het startsalaris. Je krijgt een vast ploegenrooster waardoor je goed je werk kan combineren met je privé leven. Als Remote Operator word je in eerste instantie ingezet in C-dienst (dag/avond, dit is 38,75 uur per week). In de toekomst kan je doorstromen naar een E-dienst (volcontinu, dit is 32,55 uur per week), naar verwachting binnen 12 maanden. Je start met een jaarcontract en als dit goed bevalt krijg je daarna een tweejarig contract. Het is onze intentie om je vanaf het derde jaar een vast dienst verband aan te bieden.
