Job description

As Manager Marketing Communications you will be responsible for enhancing the department plans & activities to European aligned programs connecting central initiatives with local execution on Sales Unit and dealer level. Breaking barriers between different cultures and backgrounds and enabling individuals and teams to cooperate, make impact and really contribute to DAF’s premium market position, supporting the achievement of our market share targets. This requires strategic thinking combined with a pragmatic and result driven approach.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a marketing communications planning calendar to strengthen our premium brand positioning, increasing the consideration and awareness for DAF Define and execute international communication campaigns to promote our value propositions and introduce new products and services, applying all required channels including digital marketing & social media advertising Define and roll-out sales marketing actions to generate leads, providing direct support to the sales teams Initiate, develop, execute and support communications to customers, dealers and body builders. Advise other departments within M&S on their external communications Strengthen the Corporate Identity of DAF and our dealer network Organize various DAF events such as International Dealer Meetings, customer Ride & Drive events and DAF participation in international exhibitions such as IAA Work intensively together with DAF subsidiaries and Corporate Communications to improve our market positioning and perform local communications plans, focused on brand positioning and creating product and services awareness & consideration Maintain a fleet of DAF vehicles for the full variety of demonstration purposes, including customers and press Drive a change in culture and way of working to improve the team performance and establish close cooperations within DAF and its subsidiaries

Your profile

For this challenging job, we would like to meet with candidates with over 10 years of marketing, communications and / or business experience in high-tech international business markets. You are intrinsic motivated to make a difference. A change manager who can rely on a strong, internal network and who naturally enthuses and connects others to ensure results are achieved.

Master’s degree in a business, marketing or technical field, or proven capability of performing on master level. Experienced international marketing communications manager Ability to communicate on technology and specifications translating these into customer benefits Combines strategic and analytical thinking with a pragmatic and result driven approach, translating communication plans into tangible end-to-end actions Taking initiative, demonstrating perseverance. You are confident, know which way to go, even if that means you will have to go off the beaten track With decisiveness and persuasiveness, you know how to create buy-in throughout the entire organization

Department

The Marketing Communications department is part of Marketing and consists of the following teams: Sales Promotions & Advertising, Exhibitions and Events, Digital Marketing and Product Promotion & Demo Trucks.
