Roamler is a successful, fast-growing and international scale-up organization with multiple branches in Europe. Roamler's crowdsourcing platform works through an app that allows users to perform tasks for various FMCG customers. Roamler is backed by experienced investors such as Endeit Capital, the Belgian Smartfin and the Achmea Innovation Fund and was among the top three fastest growing scale-ups in Europe. With the acquisitions of Datlinq (NL) and Mobeye (FR) in 2021, growth has accelerated even more, but the ambition remains high with strengthening the market position of the existing business units in Europe and diversification into new market segments.
The role
Are you a detail-oriented financial professional with a knack for precision and strategic insight? Roamler is seeking a skilled Financial Controller to join our team. As a Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of our organization.
You will report to the Manager Finance & Control, work closely with the CFO in the budgeting and reporting cycle and form a good team with the Business Controller and accounting team.
It is important that you get to know the business by building a warm relationship, both with colleagues in the Netherlands and internationally. You talk to the business to find out the key drivers, to understand the risks and opportunities and from there you develop dashboards that provide real insight into the business performance. These insights can be used to steer on Opex spend and personnel costs.
We are looking for an ambitious financial with strong analytical skills and a critical eye. You are ambitious, data-driven and feel good in a rapidly changing environment. You prefer to be in the middle of the business, show your added value and know how to create support.

Responsibilities within your role
Setting up and executing the Financial Planning & Analysis cycleBudgeting, forecasting and financial reportingDevelop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulationsPrepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and other key financial metricsCollaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgetsLead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditorsProvide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-makingIdentify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiativesWho are you?
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred 4-6 years of progressing experience within FinanceKnowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standardsProficiency in financial management software (PowerBI is a preference) and advanced Excel skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to communicate complex financial information effectively to stakeholders at all levelsStrong leadership and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity Fluent in English Self starting and dares to challenge the business Energetic attitude with an eye for improvementsWhat you can expect from us
