About you and this role
Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Cost Accountant (m/f/d) . This position is located in Terneuzen (The Netherlands).
Dow Hydrocarbons purchases and processes feedstocks for use in Dow's global operations, and work to identify alternative and renewable feedstock sources.
The Manufacturing Cost Accountant will oversee and manage overall financial and cost analysis related to the Crackers, the Aromatics and Butadiene units located in Terneuzen.
You ensure accounting activity recorded within the company’s records and books are accurate and complete. You are responsible for budgeting, product costing, recording, reporting, analyzing and communicating functional/business activity results. You assist the function/business management teams in financial analysis necessary for decision-making using in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in Accounting and basic knowledge of related finance disciplines.
In this role, you will require in-depth conceptual and working knowledge of your discipline or functional area. You will need to understand your discipline's best practices and how they relate to others. You may need to lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements as well as serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues. You should also be able to explain difficult or sensitive information and work to build consensus with others.
It is your responsibility to analyze and resolve complex problems, examine information from multiple sources, and use judgement to evaluate established and new solutions. Your performance impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your own team and other related teams and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies.

Qualifications
You have a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on controlling, finance, accounting, or similar discipline You already have 3+ years of professional experience in controlling and cost accounting in a manufacturing company. You have an excellent written and oral communication skills across all levels and are a team player. You have good proficiency in written and spoken English. Dutch proficiency is a plus. You have experience in working with ERP systems (SAP) You have strong analytical skills. You have the ability to work legally in the Netherlands.Additional notes
