JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a Platforms Engineer (Mobile Apps), to join our Technology Platforms Delivery group, with experience in managing deployments through 3rd parties, driving & explaining delivery of mass scale service provider connectivity Android & iOS App, Web, Care and related microservices / APIs in an ecosystem (home gateway, video STB, WiFi mesh) and complementary services with high quality and in a timely fashion.

In this role, you will:

Overall, you will champion deployment overseeing its success and enable LG to provide a best-in-class in-home OneConnect experience Maintain relationships with our markets, internal LG teams and driving technology partners, keeping well-informed, and guiding the deployments to ensure that LG’s interest can be upheld Ensure & Analyse the success of Android & iOS App, Web, Care and related microservices deployments, ensuring that business requirements are met & delivered via our key technology partners and ensuring our broader connectivity eco-system is in mint condition Align with LG Architects on the demand architecture vs technology partners execution of our strategy

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Connectivity deployment Subject Matter Expert, overseeing new release trial and deployment for OneConnect ECO-system across multiple markets Accountable to ensure performance & quality delivered by driving technology partners is performant, of high quality and is deployed timely with minimal customer impact: Aligning with partner markets, track demand, review validation and TFT reports, address shortcoming and dependencies with driving technology partner teams; product, development, validation and operational in written & speech as well as aligning with internal architecture/product teams Deep understanding of Mobile App Environment & implementation, not limited to trial and rollout phases and able to review & comment on technical & process improvements / directions towards driving technology partners product, development, validation, and operational teams in written & speech: As a an authority you will be addressing improvements/shortcomings on technical, telemetry, process, quality, and execution You are the authority within LG who has the up-to-date view both from driving technology partners and across all markets what has been, is being deployed in markets, aware of any dependencies with other OneConnect deliverables or delays, challenges or defects raised by markets related to deployments Contribute to the delivery demand and design stages by : Providing telemetry requirements to enable data driven decision Providing insights on markets’ specific requirements, performance indicators and trends Ensuring committed fixes for open defects are part of the scope Flagging any specific market’s configurations to be considered for new feature developments Staying on top of market’s specific roadmap, regulatory, privacy & security compliance topics to ensure our platform and products follow local applicable standards, regulations and policies Reviewing the proposed product and technical user stories Track Product and Technical readiness through the delivery workflow. Proactively realign trials and market communication if any deliverable timelines are changed Ensure that deliveries meet the defined criteria at the various gates: technical & environment readiness, product readiness, quality, documentation & reports, and that a proper handover is performed to the required parties Ensure that each delivery is deployed in the relevant markets within the agreed scope, fully operational, on time and with the agreed quality & performance. Track any deviations, delays, negative/positive trends Attend or organise the relevant meetings to oversee deployment activities Act as the principal technical interface and subject matter expert towards LG’s markets. Build and maintain strong relationships with our market partners, our suppliers, and the other departments within LG, to promote a cohesive approach to the deployment of entertainment services Oversee the trial activities, align with markets, suppliers, and product teams: Ensure full alignment and cohesive approach from all partners Contribute to defect prioritization. Ensure these defects get proven workarounds and/or committed resolution dates Use and develop data analytics to supervise KPIs and trends, raise defects accordingly. Track and report on deployment and trial progress Work with markets to ensure identification of target trial audience and consolidation of their feedback Proactively identify and mitigate deployment risks Provide inputs for the delivery gates Provide required data for SLA, KPI and MSL tracking Collaborate closely with our markets, suppliers, and product teams, to understand requirements & scope of deliverables, define and implement improved trial approaches, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives Continuously reassess what we deliver and how deliver, to keep improving our delivery process efficiency and our customers’ experience. Champion and evolve data driven decision making through the enhancement of telemetry and data analysis Work with Advance Analytics teams to further develop AI & ML in deployment Identify technical domains & processes requiring improvements Work with the markets to identify and implement standard methodologies, process improvements, potential efficiencies, and opportunities Oversee the trial activities, align with markets, suppliers, and product teams: Ensure full alignment and cohesive approach from all partners Contribute to defect prioritization. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Proven experience with the delivery of sophisticated technology projects and test, certification and system integration activities in the telecommunications, cable, and/or media industries Proven track record with Software development and related project delivery activities Deep knowledge in de-bugging, troubleshooting and analysis of sophisticated software systems. Data analytics with skills on data visualization tools such as Kibana & Grafana Knowledge of and Experience in Deployment and Change Management Substantial technical knowledge in successfully deploying Android & iOS applications Microservices & APIs

DESIRABLE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Effective interpersonal skills, fluent spoken and written English – ideally other European languages Experience with working in an international, diverse, and distributed team environment Takes ownership & feels accountable for own actions and recognizes and takes initiative when actions are required Collaborative working style, successfully across national boundaries Has a detailed, focused, and analytical approach to problem solving Useful: cable modem delivery technologies across different networks DOCSIS/ XGSPON, cable modem provisioning, DNS, DHCP, TCP/ IP Protocol, etc Useful: understanding STB, DTV Middleware platforms and Video Delivery technologies across different networks Abilities Ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organization up to VP level Ability to rapidly absorb new technical skills and knowledge outside of direct remit and able to drive pragmatic delivery decisions as a result. Ability to see technology for what can provide to the company and its customers. Self-motivated and proactive in the working environment; shown ability to work with speed and accuracy to deadlines is essential Can work under pressure, being proactive in the working environment; proven record to work with speed and accuracy to deadlines is crucial

PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree level or equivalent in a STEM subject.
