Team leader Tooling - TF Motion

Introduction

The Twinscan Factory (TF) is responsible for the production of ASML lithography systems including planning and logistics. A place where we strive to be the role model Lean Factory where quality comes first but where safety goes before all.

Within this sector ASML Motion is responsible for production and qualification of complex, high quality litho-specific linear actuators for the ASML Litho Systems (XT, NXT, NXE, EXE). These systems are built and delivered according to customer requirements, in time and at the right quality. To reach these goals we use the full capability and knowledge of our employees empowering them to excel in their jobs, work as a team and improve every day.

Job Mission

In the role, the task is to lead and inspire a Tooling team part of the Engineering – Quality – Support department. The tooling team consists of Motion Tooling and Modelshop. Motion Tooling is responsible for ordering, registration and maintenance of all tools. Also, to coordinate maintenance executed by suppliers. The Modelshop is responsible for execution of tool maintenance, repairs and production related adjustments.
The mission of the Tooling team is to ensure Tool availability and reliability through tool management. Have the right tool with right quality available in time for production. The ambition is to become the knowledge center for all tooling topics to support Motion factory.
You assure cooperation within Motion and with other ASML relevant departments to drive the maturity of the tooling processes at Motion factory. You lead the organizational change by supporting the implementation of the Lean transformation roadmap. Integral part of this task is the initiation/roll-out of structural improvement projects.

Job description

The Tooling team consists of a combination of craftsmen with hands on mentality, administrative colleagues on back office and tool management specialists driving structural improvements to bring the team and tool management to the next level.
As a team lead for this team, you are responsible for:

People management, including selection, development, goal setting and performance management. Ensure overall high level of engagement Facilitate and stimulate an environment for continuous improvement aiming at raising quality, cost reduction (decrease cycle time, labor hours, asset reduction) and increasing customer satisfaction Develop knowledge and experience in the team, through cross training and sharing best practices Enables the right level of support for the assembly process of linear actuators on the following competencies:Tooling: responsible for Tool Management at Motion (including maintenance, administration, ordering, …)Model shop: responsible for (mechanical) tool maintenance, tool repair activities and creation of supportive tooling for LCIA production lines Indicates, initiates and drives actions to improve tooling processes Main drivers: Safety, Quality, Delivery performance, Customer satisfaction, Cost effectiveness, Inventory and People engagement

Education & experience

Relevant HBO thinking and working level (e.g., Industrial Engineering and Management Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain or Engineering).

Experience as a team leader Experience in production management Experience in a complex working environment Experience in Lean Experience in improvement projects Experience with project management Broad technical and business knowledge

You are a team builder with good social skills. You are analytical, structured, persistent in acting on available information. Able to deal with, or even enjoy, high degree of uncertainty and pressure. Able to enthusiasm colleagues about Lean thinking as a business necessity Leadership skills, result orientation, acting in a changing environment. Good networking skills, able to work at multiple levels of the organization, from team member on the shop floor to senior managers Good communicator who can inspire not only the Tooling team, but also all other disciplines collaborating with Tooling (Production Engineering, Quality, Production, Production Planning, Cleanroom Logistics, Warehouse).
