Job Overview:

As the Product Marketing Manager at Datamaran, you will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic product initiatives from start to finish. By aligning discovery, product messaging, and marketing you will contribute directly to the success of our software solutions throughout the product life cycle. You will be responsible for crafting compelling messaging, and executing go-to-market strategies to drive awareness, adoption, and revenue growth. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, creativity, and hands-on execution, along with a deep understanding of the ESG landscape and the ability to effectively communicate the value proposition of our products to clients and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Messaging and Positioning: Develop clear and compelling messaging that articulates the value proposition of Datamaran's software solutions in the context of sustainability and ESG, and differentiate them from competitors
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Sales, and Marketing to develop and execute go-to-market plans for new product launches and feature releases
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify key market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product innovation and differentiation
  • Product Value Discovery: Develop business cases for upcoming product initiatives and validate value propositions with clients before development work has started
  • Revenue Enablement: strategic alignment with Revenue Enablement (part of Revenue Operations) to ensure revenue teams are equipped with the tools, training, and collateral needed to effectively position and sell Datamaran's products
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment on product messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies
  • Product Planning: Collaborate closely with the product team to help inform the product roadmap based on common feature requests, supported by competitive analysis and vendor mapping. 
  • Product Releases and Launches: Collaborate closely with the product and G-T-M teams to plan, project manage and successfully launch new features and capabilities in the product to prospects, existing customers and partner

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in the software or SaaS industry
  • Deep understanding of sustainability and ESG. Knowledge of related regulatory frameworks is a bonus
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies
  • A good understanding of the product development lifecycle and demonstrable experience working with product development teams, preferably in the SaaS space
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messaging and present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and driving alignment across different stakeholders

For this position, Datamaran welcomes applications from candidates willing to relocate to Leeuwarden, the heart of Friesland, here in the North of the Netherlands. For candidates considering relocation from other countries, there are a number of incentives in place (including the 30% Ruling, where certain criteria are met). Additionally, for the right candidate, Datamaran will consider offering relocation support.

This role is offered on an initial 12-month Fixed Term Contract. After the first year, employment will transition to an indefinite contract
