Job Description
Make your mark as a Financial Controller and constantly look for the story behind the figures. In the role of Financial Controller, you are the sparring partner and the financial conscience of the Marine Services business unit within the Offshore Energy division. Your focus lies on the administration, controlling and reporting; you will play a vital role in the monthly business and financial management reporting. Beside this your input on finance improvement projects is required. You are part of the financial team of Boskalis Marine Services and report to the Manager Finance.
Your responsibilities as a Financial Controller
Financial, business, and operational control responsibilities, including general overhead, operational pool exploitation and working capital; Collaboration with the Finance Manager to collect, analyze, and report consolidated financials of the business unit , as well as participation in the yearly budget and quarterly forecast and reporting processes; Outsourcing administrative tasks to the Shared Services Center (SSC) in Abu Dhabi, while maintaining close communication to ensure timely and complete records; Playing an active role in finance related process improvements within the business unit while aligning with developments within the Offshore Energy division and Group; Monitoring compliance with internal and external policies and procedures and coordinating the yearly audit by the external auditor;You will make your mark as a financial controller if you
Have at least a bachelor's in finance, preferably in Accountancy; Have at least 5 years of experience in an international environment, preferably in accountancy or the maritime industry; Can connect and act as a sparring partner for various stakeholders (e.g., commercial managers, project controllers and business unit management); Have strong analytical skills, you are result-oriented, decisive and are able to work under pressure; Have an affinity with IT / ERP systems (e.g., MS Excel, Infor LN, Vena, Power BI, OneStream, SAP BPC); Have good communication skills in the English language.

Your team: You will work in a team of 15 enthusiastic Finance professionals within Marine Services. Where you will work: For office-based roles, in consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly in the office.
