Supplier Quality Engineer

Varex Imaging Nederland B.V. is op zoek naar een proactieve en gedreven persoon voor de functie van Supplier Quality Engineer.

Als Supplier Quality Engineer ben je de drijvende kracht achter het verbeteren en borgen van de kwaliteit van de producten die we kopen bij onze leveranciers.

Met behulp van je technische kennis, analytisch denken en sociale vaardigheden, werk je samen met de afdelingen kwaliteit, inkoop, logistiek, engineering, productie en onze leveranciers.

Wat je gaat doen:

Je bezoekt leveranciers om hun processen te beoordelen en samen te werken aan verbeteringen. Opvolging van kwaliteitsproblemen bij leveranciers en inkomende goedereninspectie; dit in samenwerking met inkoop en de engineeringafdelingen. Input leveren voor en beoordelen van technische inkoopspecificaties. Het beoordelen van wijzigingsaanvragen van leveranciers. Het beheren van het globale leveranciers auditprogramma en het plannen en uitvoeren van bijbehorende audits incluis rapportage en opvolging. Samenwerken met de afdeling inkoop en engineering bij de selectie van nieuwe en de ontwikkeling van bestaande leveranciers Ondersteunen van de kwaliteitsafdeling bij de uitvoering van interne audits, correctieve en preventieve acties, en het verbeteren van bedrijfsprocessen en bijbehorende kwaliteitsdocumentatie.

Welke kennis heb je:

Kwaliteitsmanagementsysteem ISO-9001 (ISO-13485 is een pre). Ervaring met Lean, 8D, RCA, PPAP, etc. Lezen van technische tekeningen en het opstellen van specificaties. Meetmethodieken en meetmiddelen. Auditvaardigheden. Gespreks- en presentatietechnieken.

Wat vragen wij nog meer van jou:

MBO+/HBO, technische richting (bij voorkeur Werktuigbouwkunde en/of Elektrotechniek). Minimaal 3 jaar relevante werkervaring in een assemblage-/productieomgeving. Goede kennis van de Engelse taal (zowel mondeling als schriftelijk). Bereidheid om (inter)nationaal te reizen.

Resultaatgericht. Aanpakker en probleemoplosser. Beweegt gemakkelijk door de hele organisatie en weet een standpunt goed over te brengen, ook richting leveranciers. Analytisch en procesmatig sterk. Een kritische houding is essentieel om te verbeteren.

Supplier Quality Engineer

Varex Imaging Netherlands B.V. is looking for a proactive and driven person for the position of Supplier Quality Engineer.

As a Supplier Quality Engineer you are the driving force behind improving and safeguarding the quality of the products we purchase from our suppliers.

Using your technical knowledge, analytical thinking and social skills, you work together with the quality, purchasing, logistics, engineering, production departments and our suppliers.

What you will do:

You visit suppliers to assess their processes and collaborate on improvements. Follow-up of quality problems with the supplier and during incoming goods inspection, in collaboration with the Varex procurement and engineering team. Provide input for and assess technical purchasing specifications. Assessing change requests from suppliers. Manage the Global Supplier Audit Program, planning and carrying out supplier audits, including reporting and follow-up. Collaborate with the purchasing and engineering department in the selection of new and development of existing suppliers Supporting the quality department in carrying out internal audits, corrective and preventive actions, and improving business processes and associated quality documentation.

What knowledge do you have:

Quality management system ISO-9001 (ISO-13485 is an advantage). Experience with Lean, 8D, RCA, PPAP, etc. Reading technical drawings and drawing up specifications. Measuring methods and measuring tools. Audit skills. Conversation and presentation techniques.

What else do we ask of you:

MBO+/HBO, technical background (preferable Mechanical Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering). At least 3 years of relevant work experience in an assembly/production environment. Good knowledge of the English language (both oral and written). Willingness to travel (inter)nationally.

Results-oriented. Go-getter and problem solver. Moves easily throughout the organization and knows how to convey a point of view well, also to suppliers. Analytical and process-oriented. A critical attitude is essential to improve.

Required Certifications and Training

Obtains and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility.

Experience Level with Business Tools

Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
