Our client is a technical company based in Nijkerkthat acquired a new facility in Blerick in 2020. They haveinitiated a project for the Dutch Railways (NS) and are currentlyseeking technical experts. The company is committed to achievingmaximum uptime at the lowest possible lifecycle costs. The mainactivities involve the maintenance and repair of rail vehicles andall associated systems. They provide comprehensive services totransport companies, maintenance services, and manufacturers,ensuring 24/7 support for their clients on-site or in their ownworkshop. The project you will be working on involves the repairand revision of approximately 150 NS trains, requiring the renewalof parts and repainting.

The Blerick facility islocated by the railway and is easily accessible by bike, car, andpublic transportation. They offer travel expense reimbursement,making it convenient for individuals commuting from themunicipalities of Roermond, Venray, and Peel enMaas.

Functieomschrijving

For our client in Blerick, we are looking for adamage repair specialist for spot repair and painting of varioustrains. This client specializes in repairing, refurbishing, andconverting different train units. You will be working to repairsuperficial damage to the trains, making them ready for use andpresentable. This includes sanding away paint damage, dent repairon the exterior, spraying and painting the train units –essentially, performing tasks similar to those of an auto bodyrepair specialist but on a larger scale.

Tasksthat are part of your jobinclude:

  • Preparing surfaces to bepainted
  • Painting and finishing preserved spotsand components
  • Gluing or sealing the body oftrains
  • Quality control of thework
  • Recording activities on thechecklist

If you enjoy working withyour hands to deliver a technically refined product and haveexperience as an auto painter, industrial painter, damage handler,or in any other form of painting, then this is the job foryou.

Functie-eisen

As apainter/preparation employee, you are adept and meticulous in yourwork. Additionally, you identify with thefollowing:

  • You are proficient inDutch, German, or English, both spoken andwritten.
  • You have demonstrable experience inpainting cars, trains, or other forms of industrialspraying.
  • You are a proactive individual andcan work independently.
  • You have technicalcompetence and can navigate yourself in a technicalenvironment.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden
  • A competitive salary in accordance withthe collective labor agreement for small metalworking, dependent onyour technical experience.
  • Reimbursement fortravel expenses between your residence andworkplace.
  • A full-time position on a temporarycontract through Olympia, with the possibility of conversion to apermanent contract with the client after a certainperiod.
  • Daytime work with occasional eveningshifts, although these are infrequent.
  • You willreceive 8% holiday pay and 25 vacation days peryear.
