Ouridealcandidateisaprofessororprofessor-eligiblepaediatric urologist(PhD,FEBU,FEAPU)withspecificexperienceinclinical,surgicalscientificinnovations.Youhaveatrackrecordinsecuringgrantsandscientificpublicationsandareopentoinnovationsanddrivesthemforward.

Inadditionyoupossesstheprofilebelow: Isastrongcommunicator. Ateamplayerwithexcellentleadershipqualities. Hastheabilitytofurtherdevelopcurrentandnewcollaborationsatlocaland(inter)nationallevels. Dependingontheprofileoftheappointedcandidate,thetaskscanbetailoredtospecificproportions.

Thereareapproximately20paediatric urologistsworkingintheNetherlands,mostofwhomworkinuniversitymedicalcenterswherecomplexandrareconditionsaretreated.Radboudumcisoneofthe44recognizedtrainingcentersforpaediatricurologyinEurope.Youwilljoinasmallteamofpaediatric urologistswithapassionfortheirfield,supportedbynursespecialists,aurotherapist,andaspecializedteamforpaediatricsurgery/urologyintheoperatingroom.

Currently,RadboudumcisproudtobetheonlyDutchacademicmedicalcenterwithaProfessorofPaediatricUrologywithinitsUrologydepartment.Weaimtomaintainandfurtherexpandtherecognitionandinfluencethatthispositionholdswithin(inter)nationalnetworks.Inadditiontoprovidingandorganizingacademicpatientcare(approximatelyhalfofthetime)andconductingresearch/education,thenewprofessorwillbeanactivememberofERNeUROGEN,theEuropeannetworkforrareurologicalandcomplexconditions.
