About the job
As a Category Manager IT Hardware (Laptop & PC Desktop) , you will play a critical role in optimizing our IT procurement strategy, ensuring we leverage the best technologies while maintaining cost efficiency and strong vendor relationships. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end category management of IT-related products and services, including hardware, software, cloud solutions, and IT services. Your expertise will guide decision-making processes, drive contract negotiations, and support our digital transformation. Furthermore your key resposibilities are:
Develop and execute IT procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals and technology roadmap of the suppliers. Manage the IT category across two subcategories; notebooks and desktops Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and innovations. Lead supplier selection , negotiation, and contract management to ensure optimal value, quality, and risk mitigation. Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as finance, legal, online and our stores to understand business needs and align procurement strategies. Monitor vendor performance , ensuring compliance with contract terms. Analyze spend data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement within the IT category based on Customer Journeys. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, fostering strategic partnerships and ensuring continuous alignment with business needs. Develop and maintain promotion and pricing strategy ; to guarantee best offers for our customers.
Who are you?
Next to being a nice colleague to work with you have:
Bachelor’s or Master degree in Marketing or Business Management. 3+ years of experience in Category Management or Procurement. Proven experience in negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier relationships. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, forecast trends, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Goal-oriented mindset keeping the ultimate goal in mind. Fluent in English and Dutch (the language to report work is Dutch). Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate, influence and build relationships effectively at all levels. Strong personal organization, self-motivated & ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
