You will be part of the QA team, directly reporting to the Senior Manager of QA. The QA department consists of 7 people. Everyone in the team is highly engaged with the work. The team enjoys a lighthearted atmosphere, ensuring a balance of hard work good vibes. The team is international, and English is the primary working language.

Bausch + Lomb is located at Schiphol Rijk, where Medical Devices are imported, stored, and shipped to customers across Europe. You'll face an exciting challenge here. You will directly manage around 2 QA Technicians. Together, you will ensure the annual QA plan is executed effectively. You'll support the operations and other departments within the Amsterdam Logistic Centre (ALC). Thanks to your efforts, our quality management systems are aligned with ISO standards and certifications, and we are grateful for that.

But this is not the only challenge you'll tackle. The quality department's vision document needs review. Are there too many processes? Should we reduce, revise, or merge quality processes to streamline without losing sight of ISO compliance? A day is never equal to another. When issues arise in storage or transport, you'll need to respond immediately, taking decisive action and following up.

Your key duties will include:    

• CAPA management and root cause investigation.
• managing quarantine shipments and pending situations.
• conducting internal and external audits.
• overseeing management reviews and other annual review meetings.
• leading Change Management and Validation, and maintaining the Site Master Validation Plan.
• coördinating product release.
• ensuring compliance with CE marking and product integrity.
• managing a team of 2 QA Technicians.
• leading quality improvement projects and supporting QA during new launches.

You are a meticulous professional with a strong commitment to quality, and you can clearly communicate this to your colleagues. Networking comes naturally to you, and you are proactive, often having solutions ready before problems arise. You have a broad overview and easily understand processes.

Additionally, you own the following:

• bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education and thinking.
• at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in logistics.
• experience with Root Cause Analysis and CAPA management.
• strong written and verbal communication skills in both English (primary working language) and Dutch.
• available to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
• you are willing to work nearly 100% on-site and are living in the Netherlands.
