About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Merchandise Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience in e-commerce and home and living categories. This role will involve inventory management, sales forecasting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize our product assortment and drive sales growth. The potential to lead and manage a team is a key aspect of this role.


In short, you will be doing the following:

• Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts and inventory plans to support business goals.

• Analyze historical data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

• Monitor and adjust plans to ensure alignment with sales targets and inventory levels.

• Work closely with the buying team to develop a compelling product assortment that meets customer needs and preferences.

• Conduct regular analysis of product performance and recommend actions to enhance assortment and drive sales.

• Assist in the planning and execution of promotional activities, ensuring they are aligned with inventory and sales plans.




Here's where you recognize yourself:

• HBO-level education, in the field of supply chain management, (technical) business administration, or economics

• 3-5 years of experience as a merchandise planner (including WSSI management). Experience in home & Living or Private Label is a plus

• Commercial mindset and assertiveness

• The skills to conduct a conversation and influence at any level

• Strong analytical skills

• Team player with a strong sense of personal responsibility

• Affinity with the versatile, amazing assortment that fonQ.nl offers

• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken. Dutch a plus

• Must be located in the Netherlands with ability to work without sponsorship
