Structural Dynamics Research Engineer

IQIP, a global leader in pile driving and handling equipment, invites you to join our dynamic team as a Structural Dynamics Research Engineer (Acoustic Emission) Position EngD. With a strong commitment to technology and a passion for excellence, we collaborate with 400 colleagues worldwide to support both offshore and onshore projects. From wind farms and oil & gas to bridges and ports, your work will play a pivotal role in advancing our Structural Health Monitoring technologies.

Your work

As part of our Structural Dynamic team, you will focus on the research and development of Acoustic Emission techniques to monitor the health of our equipment. You will contribute to build a Digital Twin for the equipment. This role includes a 2-year EngD program in collaboration with the University of Twente. Your work will involve both practical and theoretical aspects of Acoustic Emission testing and data processing, driving innovative solutions for equipment fatigue and structural dynamics.

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on Acoustic Emission techniques for Structural Health Monitoring.

• Contribute to build a Digital Twin.

• Develop and implement testing protocols and data processing methods.

• Collaborate with the University of Twente and other stakeholders.

• Present findings and contribute to academic publications.

• Visit various sites including Twente, Sliedrecht, and Eindhoven.

Your profile:

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Strong affinity with testing and data processing.

• Interest in Structural Dynamics and Fatigue.

• Proficiency in Matlab; experience with ANSYS is preferred.

• Willingness to work/study in Twente and travel to other locations as needed.

• EU-Citizen (No visa sponsorship)

Our offer:

• Monthly salary depending on level and expertise. (CAO Metalektro).

• 8% holiday allowance, paid annually.

• 27 paid annual leave days + 13 additional days.
