Global Petcare has decided to establish a “Direct Selling” Center of Excellence (CoE). The purpose of this CoE is to unlock direct selling for Mars with focus on Social Platforms, eB2B, Marketplaces & Drop Shipping and direct-to-consumer (D2C) stores.
Three key pillars on knowledge compose the Direct Selling Backbone: Finance, Supply Chain and Business Architecture. The CoE ambition is to make Direct Selling Simple across all MARS, solving pain points across these three areas and sharing best practices across the business, globally.
As part of “Direct Selling” CoE, the purpose of the Supply Chain Lead role is to establish and oversee the Supply Chain foundation of the Direct Selling CoE, ensuring alignment with the organization's global objectives. The Global Supply Chain Lead will play a pivotal role in streamlining supply chain operations processes, addressing challenges, and fostering collaboration across the Finance, Supply Chain, and Business Architecture pillars. Through a keen understanding of Supply and Operations dynamics, the role enhances the CoE's impact within the organization, reinforcing its position as a key driver of excellence in direct selling operations.
What are we looking for?
10+ years of experience in digital direct selling supply chain setups Master’s Degree/ MBA is preferred. Exceptional communication and interaction skills, particularly excelling in Influencing People, Managing Execution, and Focusing on Performance.What will be your key responsibilities?
Develop and implement strategic plans for the supply chain function, aligning them with overall organizational goals. Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within the supply chain to enhance overall performance. Foster collaboration and Work closely with key stakeholders, such as procurement, logistics, and production, to optimize end-to-end supply chain processes. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in supply chain management. Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential disruptions within the supply chain. Build and lead a high-performing supply chain team; manage, and develop a diverse, high-performing team essential for delivering the program successfully. Cultivate an environment that encourages innovation and collaboration. Spearhead and oversee end-to-end project management for supply chain initiatives, ensuring seamless coordination among cross-functional teams. Facilitate communication, set clear milestones to drive successful project delivery within established timelines. Take charge of designing and implementing pilot programs to test and refine new supply chain processes. Lead teams in the setup, execution, and evaluation of pilots, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize operational efficiency and laying the foundation for scalable, impactful solutions. Lead the team in creating standardized ways of working and templates for project documentation, encompassing key elements such as project charters, plans, status reports, and other relevant documents. Collaborate with the broader leadership team to define and establish relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that comprehensively assess project success, team efficiency, and the tangible value created for the business, fostering a data-driven approach to continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.What can you expect from Mars?
