Our commercial department is responsible for the customers of the Port of Rotterdam. As a Supply Chain Data Professional, you will be part of the Customer Digital team. This team consists of 24 enthusiastic colleagues with various nationalities and backgrounds. Our goal is to use digital resources to realize the port's strategy and improve the port's performance. We use data and analytics to identify bottlenecks and work together with customers and partners to find solutions. Although we usually do not build these solutions ourselves, we coordinate and supervise their development. We work together with an ecosystem of start-ups, scale-ups, suppliers and knowledge institutes. Because digitalization is an important strategic theme, the team reports directly to our CEO.
You will work closely with colleagues from the commercial department, asset management, environmental management, strategy, marketing and communication, and our subsidiary Portbase (Port Community System). Together we strengthen the port's competitive position and reduce emissions. You will be part of a sub-team within Customer Digital that focuses on improving sustainability and efficiency after cargo arrives at the port and during transport throughout the entire supply chain in the hinterland. Our goal is to provide a seamless experience to the more than 3000 B2B companies active in the port.
Wat vragen wij van jou?
You have completed a higher professional or university education, preferably in the direction of Econometrics, Supply Chain or Finance; You have at least 3 - 4 years of logistical supply chain experience; Relevant knowledge of analyzing data and creating dashboards is a requirement; You have basic knowledge of Python & experience with building Power BI dashboards is an advantage; You are able to translate data into information and strongly believe that you can better prove arguments through data analysis; Knowledge of project management such as Agile/Scrum/Prince2 is an advantage.Competencies that we consider important to be successful in this position:
Entrepreneurial action: You develop new commercial strategies to promote and implement sustainable building materials. You are enthusiastic about commercial negotiations, contract formation and land allocations. In addition, you are proactive, work independently but dare to ask for help when necessary.
Customer Orientation: You actively listen to the needs of customers and take appropriate actions to meet the expectations of the customers, whereby you prioritize based on stakeholder management. You do this with your communication skills in both Dutch and English.
Influence: You convince and influence stakeholders to support the goals of the Port Authority. You build a strong network and have experience with the Port of Rotterdam, industry and/or circular economy.
Strategic action: You work strategically with governments to realize the long-term goals of the port. You convert data and insights into commercial opportunities and choices. And you know how to translate information, both internally and externally, into concrete actions.
An integrity investigation and online screening are part of the selection procedure. Valicare carries out this screening on behalf of Port of Rotterdam.
