We, at Infra, are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager to join our passionate team. At Trelleborg, we are committed to shaping the future of sustainable and resilient infrastructure worldwide.

With a rich history spanning over a century, we have been instrumental in landmark projects. Notably, our Infra-team has contributed to the development of various iconic structures such as the Oosterscheldekering and Maeslandkering storm surge barriers, as well as significant water management initiatives like 'Room for Water'. Our contributions extend globally, encompassing the realization of numerous immersed tunnels including the Coentunnel and Heinenoordtunnel, among many others.

Moreover, our endeavors extend to the development of sophisticated techniques for sealing and safeguarding offshore wind applications, alongside our dedication to other renewable energy initiatives. As projects continue to evolve in complexity and scale, we remain steadfast in accepting the inherent challenges. What is the challenge

The primary challenge is the Project Manager's responsibility to collaborate closely with internal and external clients, as specified below, to guarantee the seamless execution of all projects within their purview. The Project Manager assumes accountability for supervising the operational aspects of the project, stepping in once the project is nearly finalized by the Sales team.

Who are you?

You are an adept and experienced Project Manager with a profound passion for orchestrating progressive infrastructure projects. Preferably with an engineering background and a demonstrated track record in leading medium to large-scale projects, you are proficient in navigating the complexities of sealing, damping, and water protection challenges, aligning seamlessly with Trelleborg Infrastructure's groundbreaking ethos.

Task and responsibilities
  • Monitor project schedule and scope to ensure both remain on track. Initiate and implement appropriate actions. Proactively engage in both quality assurance and risk management activities to ensure project results are met according to client requirements.
  • Coordinate and drive internal cross functional teams to meet program results.
  • Handle technical issues, risks, and priorities.
  • Resolve issues and solve problems throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build project schedules to identify when each task will be done and by whom. Handle project schedules and lead enforcement of project deadlines in response to the client requirements.
  • Proactively identify resource constraints and work on creative solutions. Handle the unexpected gracefully and optimally.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze needs and requirements.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Serve as the conduit and act as liaison between the customers (internal and external) and technical teams.
  • Maintain key relationships with partners of project, mainly internal 70% but also external 30%. Escalation via Teamleader Project Management.
  • Collaborate with finance to initiate monthly invoicing and reconciliation.

  • Customer focused attitude, excellent communication skills, the capacity to lead complex and varied interpersonal relationships to efficiently complete projects.

  • Ability to lead and model behaviors for other team members.
What do you bring?
  • Higher vocational education in a relevant field. Engineering knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience demonstrating responsibility for participating in and/or leading medium to large scale (infrastructure) projects.
  • Project management experience demonstrating the capacity to effectively communicate and work efficiently, collaborate with both internal and external clients across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience building and handling a project schedule in Microsoft Project or similar
  • Fluent/Confident in the Dutch and English language
  • Capacity to lead small to medium scale projects, including development of plans for scope, timeline, budget, issue management, and handling change.
