How to Make an Impact?

A focal point within the Ewals Environment Social Governance(ESG) Strategy is achieving a carbon-neutral operation.

As an Emissions & Energy Expert, you will play a crucial and central role in the transitioning to carbon-neutral services. You are the driving force and have a direct a direct and significant impact on these ambitions.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to develop a vision and transition plan for our Emissions & Energy ambitions. This is a new role at the heart of our international Ewals Group, reporting to our QESH organization and with a dotted line to our Executive Director Business and Product Development. As a emissions and energy Expert part of the sustainability strategy, you will build relationships and be a valuable sparring-partner for the Management Team in strategic objectives, as well as for colleagues, customers, and suppliers. In this role, you will closely collaborate with Business & Product Development, Operations, and Technology & Information, striving for the right balance and sustainable logistic services.

You are responsible for enhancing our CO2 calculation tool to make it measurable both internally and externally, enabling us to steer towards CO2 reduction. To shape the development of both the transition plan and CO2 calculation tool, you will stay informed about market trends, policy developments, methodologies, and regulations. Additionally, you provide internal and external advice to clients and suppliers based on ambitions, calculation methodologies, and feasibility studies.

What will you do?

Demonstrate leadership in Emissions & Energy/Carbon-Neutral operations and promote continuous improvement within the whole Ewals Group. Contribute to the strategy and implementation of the ESG policy (annual plans, result agreements, and change/performance goals). Monitor and report progress. Maintain close contacts with internal and external stakeholders, such as members of the Executive Management Team, various departments, clients, and suppliers. Identify, inventory, analyse, advise, and prioritize the needs and requirements of internal & external stakeholders. Stay informed about Emissions & Energy developments, news and trends. Verify, improve and expand existing data & calculation models. Develop Power BI reports in collaboration with ICT Solutions. Be a member of the QESH/ESG Team.

Who are we looking for?

You have at least a bachelor's/master's degree; Experience and/or knowledge gained in a similar role is a plus. You are aware of or have an affinity with methodologies and information systems in the field of CO2 measurements such as ISO14083 and/or GLEC Framework. Passionate about achieving carbon neutrality in our services. Collaborative and supportive, adept at working with colleagues at all levels to achieve emissions and energy goals. Results-driven and ambitious, aspiring to become a leading expert in CO2 reduction both internally and externally. Analytical, with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively and working independently in a dynamic global setting. Committed to continuous improvement. Additionally, you have a good command of the English language. You have good knowledge of MS Office, and strong presentation and reporting skills.
