For our Personal Care Technical Services team in Zwijndrecht, we are currently looking for a

Within Ashland’s Hair Care organization, this role is part of the Personal Care Technical Services team. The Scientist will report to the EU Technical Services Manager and is responsible to deliver projects to market, developing products fitting customer demands.

Candidate must be able to apply existing method portfolio of Ashland and develop these methods further. Next to development of new products to support R&D and sales team to create claims data for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible of performing customer technical services projects according to deadline;
• Formulate prototypes with existing and new raw materials;
• Perform, improve and develop testing methods for claim substantiation;
• Design and execute experiments, interpret data and independently draw conclusions;
• Communicate effectively with global internal and customer bases;
• Maintain up to date methods and equipments.

Technical/Professional Expertise

• B.Sc. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (or higher)
• Knowledge of cosmetic chemistry or sensorial testing would be helpful
• Experience formulating Personal Care products is a plus
