Part-time Nurse (holding a functional title of Research Nurse) (several posts) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 522795) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should be registered with the Hong Kong Nursing Council or equivalent. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua); good interpersonal, and communicational skills; and a strong sense of responsibility. Those with past experience of clinical work in public hospital would have an advantage. 

The appointees will work on research projects related to air pollution panel study with an aim to examine the effects of personal ozone exposure on the changes in cardiopulmonary function and preclinical biomarkers of systemic inflammation, oxidative stress, and antiviral immunity. They will help to conduct field work of physical examinations including collection of nasopharyngeal swabs, buccal mucosal exfoliated cells, and peripheral blood samples, measurements of blood pressure, electrocardiograph parameters, lung function parameters and fractional nitric oxide concentration in exhaled breath (FeNO), as well as perform other research-related duties as assigned. They will work during daytime on weekdays for no more than 29 hours per week, and may work outside normal office hours or on weekends occasionally.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
