What you will do as Senior Water-Related Urban Natural-Based Solutions (NBS) Expert
As a Senior Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) Expert, you’ll have the opportunity to work both internationally and within the Netherlands. Leveraging your robust advisory skills, you’ll collaborate with global, multidisciplinary teams on a variety of projects. Your role will be pivotal in assisting our clients such as World Bank, ADB, and IADB to implement nature-based solutions, enhancing climate resilience in urban and regional contexts.
This means you:
Utilize your extensive expertise in urban NBS to design and implement innovative water-related solutions. Lead and mentor a team of NBS professionals. Provide technical and practical guidance to ensure the success of NBS projects. Collaborate on international projects, particularly in Africa and South America, to address water-related challenges. Oversee the development and execution of NBS strategies in urban areas. Drive research and development initiatives to advance the field of urban NBS. Share your knowledge and insights within the organization and with external partners. Demonstrate strong leadership in promoting Nature Based Approaches. Provide strategic advice for our clients globally. Engage with clients regularly and provide them with your best and independent advice. What you bring
To excel as a Senior Natural-Based Solutions (NBS) Expert, you should identify with the following:
Hold a Master’s degree in a related field (Ph.D. preferred). Have over a decade of hands-on experience in urban NBS water-related projects. Possess proven international experience. Be based in the Netherlands (preferred). Spanish proficiency is a plus. Have extensive knowledge of NBS implementation, both technical and practical. Demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills. Be adaptable to diverse environments and able to collaborate with multicultural teams. Possess strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management abilities. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
