Electronic Components Testing and Validation Intern

Are you a student or soon-to-be graduate of electronics or similar, looking for an exciting, hands-on internship in the semiconductor industry? Join then Smith & Associates, leading distributor of electronic components, as an Intern in our EMEA operations hubin Haarlem. You will work alongside our team on testing electronic components and creating standardized testing procedures.

This is a 3-month internship starting, anticipated starting date is July 1, 2024. Only local candidates, studying electronics engineering or similar will be considered

As an intern, you will:

Create testing procedures for functional and authenticity testing of components. 

Apply theoretical knowledge of computer hardware such as active and passive components and circuits to perform functional and authentication tests. 

Use the oscilloscopeto read and interpret the analog and digital signals and uses of components. 

Use the C- SAM and X-Ray to understand the internal structures of components. 

Collaborate with operations departments to receive, inspect, and ship electronic components per manufacturing specifications and consumer requirements. 

Have access to a dedicated mentor and Smith’s learning platform to guide during your internship. 

Competencies: 

Ability to analyze manufacturing data sheets of electronic components. 

Must work independently, multitask, and communicate well in a time-sensitive environment.

Must also be detail-oriented, organized, solution-oriented, and a team player.

Experience in Microsoft Office

Education: 

 Pursuing a higher education in electronics engineering or relevant field 

Motivation: 

Affinity with the electronics and semiconductor industry.

Working on hands-on tasks in a fast-paced working environment

Language skills:

Fluent in English
