Where will you be working?
The Group Finance department works from the headquarters in Amsterdam and consists of several departments: Business Control, Financial Control & Reporting, Risk Management, Treasury and Accounting. The Business Control team consists of the Group Business Controller and one Business Controller, this role is the 2nd Business Controller in the team. The Business Control team works closely together with our auctions brands as well as other Group teams such as Data and Intelligent Auctioning.
What will you be doing?
The business controller is in a central position in the organization to provide all parties involved with financial, strategic and operational analyses and insights. In addition, there is a supporting role in preparing management reports to the Board, Management, and shareholders. The main tasks consist of the following:
Supporting the multi-year and annual budget and monthly forecasting. Making ad hoc (investment) analyses and supporting the realization of the business strategy through proactive steering on KPI's. Initiating usable management information to support strategic choices. Being a sparring partner for the organization. Monthly analysis and explanation of reported figures by strategy & KPI's. Monthly reports to the Board with analyses and insights. Preparing, testing, and financially substantiating business cases. Continuously improving operational processes and controls.
