Senior Frontend EngineerSummary of the role
We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic, agile, and innovative team, with a primary focus on frontend engineering. You’ll work with the latest front-end technologies within Kambr by Amadeus to support our Airline Revenue Management software product.
Your main responsibilities:
You will play a key role in designing, implementing, bug fixing, and enhancing our Kambr Eddy revenue management tool. Collaborating closely with DevOps, Product, Operations, and Quality Assurance teams, you will analyze requirements, create UX designs, implement new functionalities, and support the application in various environments for diverse customers. Your contributions will be integral to our agile software engineering team, working in unison to deliver software changes.
Analyze and Refine Requirements:
Collaborate with Product Managers to break down business requirements into actionable tasks.Validate requirements and acceptance criteria for feasibility and practicality.Provide estimates, timelines, and technical dependencies necessary for translating requirements into functional software.Software Development:
Design, develop, and maintain automated build, deployment, and release pipelines.Review and recommend changes to code developed by team members.Propose and review ADRs (Architectural Decision Records) as part of the broader engineering team.Ensure that the code developed aligns with company standards and requirements.Support QA, UAT, and RM Processes:
Collaborate closely with QA to support the testing process and address identified issues.Assist with release management activities by supporting the UAT process, resolving bugs, and implementing necessary improvements to ensure timely software releases.Contribute to Technical Improvement:
Continuously design, develop, and maintain changes within the application, addressing technical debt and keeping the software up to date with evolving technical standards, frameworks, and libraries.Optimize resource utilization, enhance performance, and improve cost efficiency.Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry and company standards.Collaborate Within the Broader Team and Provide Technical Leadership:
Work closely with development, operations, and QA teams to foster smooth collaboration and alignment.Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.About the ideal candidate
Holds a university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.Proficient in OOP, TypeScript, HTML & CSS/LESS/SASS, Software lifecycle (Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Docker), SQL, NoSQL (MongoDB/Couchbase), Design patterns, Webservices (SOAP/XML, REST/JSON).Has over 5 years of proven experience in software engineering.Demonstrates excellent programming, debugging, and code optimization skills.Pays close attention to detail.Possesses excellent English verbal and written communication skills.GCP experience is a significant asset.Experience in the Airlines and/or Travel Industry is also an asset.What we can offer you
