Als Mechanical Design Engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerpen, ontwikkelen en implementeren van mechanische systemen en componenten voor ons diverse productportfolio. Je werkt nauw samen met collega’s uit verschillende disciplines (elektrisch, hydraulisch, software, projectmanagement, service en productie) om projecten succesvol binnen de gestelde tijd en budget te realiseren.
Taken en verantwoordelijkheden
- Ontwerpen (basic & detail design) middels handberekeningen en 3D modellen en specificeren van mechanische systemen en onderdelen die voldoen aan de systeemvereisten.
- Beoordelen van projectvereisten en deze vertalen naar geïntegreerde ontwerpen.
- Controleren van de naleving van ontwerpen met relevante regelgeving en klantspecificaties.
- Produceren van tekeningen en stuklijsten zodat inkoop, productie en commissioning probleemloos kunnen worden uitgevoerd, en we turn-key oplossingen aan onze klanten kunnen leveren.
Hoe ziet een werkdag eruit?
- Je begint de dag met een teamvergadering om de voortgang van lopende projecten te bespreken.
- Je werkt verder in Inventor aan het 3D model en de detailtekeningen van bijvoorbeeld een Ram Luffing kraan.
- Je reviewt de assemblagetekening en bijbehorende stuklijst van een collega Mechanical Design Engineer.
- Je maakt handberekeningen voor een constructiedetail dat je aan het ontwerpen bent.
- Je overlegt met de Drives & Control Engineer over de benodigde aandrijving van de kraan.
Qualifications
- Een afgeronde Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimaal 4 jaar ervaring, bij voorkeur in de maritieme, offshore of industriële sector.
- Ervaring met software zoals Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault of vergelijkbaar.
- Sterk analytisch vermogen en oplossingsgericht.
- Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden en een can-do mentaliteit.
